Minor Park Tennis complex features 12 recently renovated courts, 6 of which are lighted, and practice boards. Renovations included electrical updates to the court lighting system, new light bulbs in all the fixtures; and installation of timers to conserve electricity while the courts are not in use; as well as constructing a new 8′ feet wide concrete sidewalk, resurfacing and striping the existing 60 plus space parking lot, and installing a new restroom facility with fountain to meet current ADA requirements and to serve the public interest.
Upgrades to the tennis courts included: removal and resurfacing of existing asphaltic playing surfaces due to ponding and cracks, application of Wimbledon court color (blue and green) coatings and striping to ASBA guidelines, removal and replacement of tennis nets and straps, net posts, center anchors and footings, court fence repair and replacement, and the installation of 8 black steel frame poly coated benches.
