    Description:

    This is an abstract, stainless steel sculpture, 12-1/2 feet high which rests on a vertical exposed aggregate pedestal which is 5-1/2 feet high.  It sits on a 12 foot round concrete base on which are located two smaller exposed pedestals.  One is 4-1/2 feet high and bears an inscription; the other is 2-1/2 feet high.  The sculpture is dedicated to the memory of a high school student who was killed while preventing the robbery of two young women.  The sculpture represents a youth raising his arms upward striving for greater goals.

    Grisafe Memorial Plaza, April 1968, Dedicated to those citizens who believe in the principles of law, order and good citizenship as best exemplified by Salvatore Grisafe.  Presented to the City of Kansas City by the Junior Chamber of Commerce.  Sculptured by Jac T. Bowen
