    Description

    This drinking fountain was originally located in an alcove of trees near the sea lion pool in the zoo was designed to be utilitarian as well as an artistic addition. A sculpture of a young girl sits atop a rectangular limestone base.  It is a memorial donated by Edith Norton to her mother Mary Fraser. The fountain is a simple art deco style. In 2000 it was conserved and re-plumbed and moved to the south. The fountain sits at the entrance to the African Veld at the Kansas City Zoo.
